Dua Lipa is an English artist and singer. She was born on August 22 1995, in London United Kingdom. In 2014, following a career as a model and actress, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album peaked at number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and produced eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at sixth in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breakthrough act in 2018. The album was rated platinum in the world. Dua Lipa was born August 22, 1995 in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. By virtue of her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian origin. Her ancestors can also be tracked back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. Gjin as well as Rina are her twins. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who was the guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock group Oda.
