Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian performer, singer-songwriter, and musician. She is mainly involved in Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Annayum Raolum is her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil alongside Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah was born to an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's Father is a Lawyer at the Madras High Court. Also, she has one younger sister, currently employed as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah is from Chennai. She was a student at National Public School, and later graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started the classical piano at eight years old, was called being a "geek" and wanted to be a psychiatric nurse until her board exam in 12th grade. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at the age of 10 years old, was her starting point to sing and compose music. She appeared as an actor at her college in various productions hosted through The Madras Players or EVAM. She was president of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea's professional career began with the Girishkarnad Nagamandala. The actress acted in the new leo coffee commercial with the actor Shiva in 2006. She was also on Podhigai Channel on a TV show. She has performed all over India. There was a brief appearance in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Following her performance of a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu she was asked to appear as one of the lead female characters in his next venture Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani the housewife whose husband is involved in an affair with someone else. Andrea was picked for the part after Simran and Tabu both actresses were contacted by producers. The film was released at the start of 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu released his multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to play a minor supporting role. Her Malayalam film debut with Rajeeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in 2013.
